She is carrying a Ship with a Snake at her feet but she is also pulling a Snake which has a skirt and feet going in the opposite direction. This ring is depicting Thetis making the transformation of Achilles (when he was hiding in women's clothes) into a Snake (Thetis herself could change into a Snake) and having him set sail for Troy with the Myrmidones.
